Daily Odds for Sunday, December 29

Yesterday: 2-5
Season: 134-121

Absolutely brutal night last night for my over/unders. Came so close on every single one, but couldn’t hit. It’s okay, though – it was a great night of basketball.

Atlanta (203.5 o/u) @ Orlando (PK)

Hm, Orlando as a pick-em against a reeling Hawks team that just lost Al Horford for the season and has played three overtime games since Monday… I don’t know about you, but I like it.

Pick: Orlando PK

Golden State (-7) @ Cleveland (205.5 o/u)

Both teams desperately need this game – Golden State to keep pace with the West elite that they think they belong with, and Cleveland to avoid falling off a disaster cliff and into irrelevancy. Makes me a little bit nervous about this one. The guardplay will be fun as all hell, though, between two teams like this. Gun to my head, I’m taking the Warriors.

Pick: Golden State -7

Sacramento (210.5 o/u) @ San Antonio (-11.5)

Sacramento just played a hell of a game against the Heat, but San Antonio is really great at being the team to take wind out of your sails. Still, I feel not that great about the line being as high as it is. I’m tempted by the under here because San Antonio is so good defensively, but Sacramento is so terrible on defense that I just really don’t know. I’ll take the Spurs here rather than a point total.

Pick: San Antonio -11.5

Houston (208 o/u) @ Oklahoma City (-4.5)

Only one I have zero hesitation with today. Houston needs to prove it belongs and OKC doesn’t have Westbrook.

Pick: Houston +4.5

Philadelphia (213.5 o/u) @ LA Lakers (-8)

Philadelphia’s over/unders are just going to stay ridiculous forever and I’ve excepted that. Please, a D’antoni offense against a team that runs as much as Philly with such a porous defense? This is going to be a wild and fast game.

Pick: Over 213.5
